Ruger Introduces the New Security-380 Lite Rack Pistol

The Ruger Security-380 adds another pistol to the Lite Rack series. Its both feature-rich affordable

Ruger unveils the latest member of its Lite Rack family of pistols, the Ruger Security-380. Engineered in .380 Auto, the Security-380 offers a comprehensive set of features, optimal sizing, and an affordable price point.

The all-new Security-380 Lite Rack pistol aims to provide hours of range training with minimal fatigue. The combination of user-friendly features and reduced felt recoil empowers shooters sensitive to recoil, enabling them to develop skills and build confidence at the range.

Further, its lightweight and compact dimensions ensure comfortable all-day carry. Based on the reliable Ruger Security-9 platform, the Security-380 is compatible with most holsters, lights, lasers, and accessories available on ShopRuger.com.

Meet the Ruger Security-380 Lite Rack Pistol

Crafted in the USA, the Security-380 boasts a rigid, precision-machined, hard-coat anodized aluminum chassis with full-length guide rails. It showcases a blued, through-hardened alloy steel slide and barrel. The lightweight slide incorporates a vertical ledge on the steel rear sight and a vibrant fiber-optic front sight. This enables quick acquisition of the sight picture.

The pistol is designed to accommodate new shooters, those who struggle with traditional slide manipulation, and individuals seeking enjoyment at the range. Additionally, the Lite Rack system incorporates refined slide serrations, prominent cocking ears, and a lighter recoil spring, facilitating effortless slide operation.

Setting it apart from many micro-compact .380 pistols, this new offering is compatible with a full-capacity, 10-round flush fit magazine. Additionally, Select models of the Security-380 are accompanied by an extended, 15-round magazine. Further, this enhances grip length for a secure and comfortable hold. The textured grip fills the hand and aids in distributing recoil, surpassing the handling of narrow single-stack pistols.

The Security-380 merges Ruger’s reliable and proven Secure Action fire-control system with a range of safety features. These include an integrated trigger safety, external manual safety, and neutrally balanced sear with significant engagement and strong spring tension. It also features a hammer catch that prevents contact between the hammer and firing pin unless the trigger is pulled. Finally, the trigger exhibits a short, smooth pull, a crisp break, and a positive reset.
