Ruger Goes a Little Bit Modern & a Whole Lotta Retro This Year

One of my favorite booths to visit at SHOT Show is Ruger. This year they have a few new products that really turned heads! All of these Ruger semi-automatic rifles can be squarely labeled fun guns you must consider adding to your collection.

Ruger LC Carbine .45 Auto

This lightweight carbine features a 16.25-inch threaded barrel, adjustable folding stock, Ruger Rapid Deploy folding sights, and ambidextrous controls. With the stock set to the shortest length of pull, this LC Carbine is just 28.66 inches in length. The .45 Auto version features an updated right- and left-hand bolt release, octagonal handguard, and reversible magazine release and is compatible with most off-the-shelf, Glock-pattern, .45 Auto magazines.

Ruger Mini-14 With Side-Folding Stock

This is a Ruger semi-automatic rifle fit for The A Team! On the retro side, we have the Mini-14 with Side-Folding Stock. It’s reminiscent of classic side-folding Mini-14 rifles originally produced in the mid-1970s. The walnut stock features a stainless side-folder made from original Ruger casting tooling and an injection-molded polymer pistol grip. The threaded 18.5-inch matte stainless-steel barrel is fitted with a factory-installed 1/2-inch-28 flash suppressor. Other features include a ghost ring rear aperture sight and a non-glare, protected blade front sight with a bayonet lug.

Ruger Collector’s Series 10/22—60th Anniversary Model

One last item on the retro side is the Sixth Edition Ruger Collector’s Series 10/22 Rifle—60th Anniversary Model. Accompanied by unique collector’s memorabilia, this Sixth Edition of the Ruger Collector’s Series is a great way to start a 10/22 collection, add to an existing collection, or simply celebrate the 10/22 rifle’s 60th Anniversary. This rifle features a stainless-steel barrel and silver-finished receiver paired with a Gray Magpul Hunter X-22 stock. The blackened bolt is laser engraved with a unique 60th Anniversary marking. The rifle is accented with a red bolt handle and trigger while incorporating popular 10/22 features like a non-glare blade front sight, ghost ring adjustable rear aperture sight, extended magazine release, and a Picatinny rail.
