Top Products from ICAST 2024 

Each year, the fishing industry gathers in Orlando, Florida for ICAST – the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades – where new products are introduced, and business relationships are strengthened. It’s not open to the public, but savvy anglers across the country and across the globe await the gear introductions to see what they’ll be fishing in the coming years, and to try to get a jump start on the local competition. The 2024 iteration of ICAST reflected the continued innovation that anglers demand. Here are 20 products that caught our eye at ICAST this year: 

Rapala PXR Jowler 127 

This elongated, three-hooked topwater contributed to a win in a Bassmaster Elite Series tournament for South Carolina’s Patrick Walters before it was officially introduced. It casts a mile, walks easily and the distinctive cupped mouth contributes to both the action and the fish-attracting sounds. So too does an internal knocker that calls bass up. 

Abu-Garcia Revo X BFS Casting Reels 

Abu Garcia came to ICAST to show they have gone all-in on casting reels that supplant spinning reels, providing more direct power and less line twist. The Revo X BFS weighs 7.2 ounces and comes with a 7.3:1 gear ratio, and is tuned to cast ultralight lures long distances. 

Great Lakes Finesse Juvy Craw Tube 

Smallmouths love protein-packed crawfish, and a tube is one of the best ways to imitate them, but this mini package does it better than any other. Whether you’re dragging it or cracking it off the bottom, brown bass can’t resist the Juvy Craw Tube.
