Sitka Gear features hunter and ecologist Lindsey Davis in its latest film “Journey Of A Thousand Choices”, and the story is both moving and inspirational.
Dropping today, Sitka’s “Journey of a Thousand Choices” takes the audience on the journey from non-hunter to hunter. Lindsey Davis is Sitka’s Director of Conservation and Advocacy, and she has been a long-unifying voice in western hunting, public lands advocacy, and wildlife management.
“I was never supposed to be a hunter. I didn’t grow up exposed to it, nor did anyone in my family,” Davis writes, “But after years of getting my hands dirty peeling back the layers of nutrition, food systems, and ecosystem health, I arrived at its doorstep. Hunting had merged with my land ethic, and I now needed to figure out how to do it.”
Figure it out she did. Her evolution from food-curious ecologist to backcountry archery hunter makes for a short film worth watching.
