Ruger Reintroduces the Marlin Model 336

Back in action, historic gun enthusiasts should be excited about the return of the Marlin Model 336.

Enter the highly anticipated release of the Marlin Model 336 Classic. This iconic rifle played an integral role in establishing Marlin Firearms as a legendary American brand. Now reimagined by Ruger to uphold its esteemed reputation, enthusiasts should be excited.

Ruger President and CEO, Chris Killoy, expressed his pride in the reintroduction of this beloved firearm, stating, “We have worked for many months on every detail to ensure that Ruger’s reintroduction of this iconic rifle lives up to its stellar reputation.”

About the Model 336 Classic

The Model 336 Classic, chambered in .30-30 Win., showcases a beautifully finished American black walnut stock and forend. Both the stock and forend feature crisp, clean checkering, enhancing the rifle’s appearance and providing a superior grip. The stock’s black pistol grip cap also features a striking Marlin Horse and Rider medallion. Finally, the forend attaches using a barrel band.

Crafted from alloy steel, the rifle exhibits a rich blued finish and boasts a standard-sized finger lever, along with a six-round magazine capacity. The 20.25″ barrel is also cold hammer-forged. This ensures exceptional accuracy through ultra-precise rifling and enhanced longevity. Paying homage to the classic 336, this rifle features a gold-colored trigger.

“Our focus continues to be on quality,” continued Killoy. “We remain committed to making firearms that are rugged, reliable and can proudly be handed down for many generations. The Model 336 is no exception.”

The Ruger-made Model 336 Classic proudly bears the “Mayodan, NC” marking, carries an “RM” or Ruger-Made serial number prefix, and features the distinctive red and white bullseye on the stock.
