Chris Stapleton & Dua Lipa Release “Think I’m In Love With You” Live From The 59th ACM Awards

Hook & Barrel country music fans might not have a clue who Dua Lipa is, but if they caught the 59th ACM Awards, they do now—the collab certainly made waves in country music news. If you missed it, below is the video performance:

Two of music’s most beloved and acclaimed artists, Chris Stapleton and Dua Lipa, have collaborated to release “Think I’m In Love With You (with Dua Lipa).” Recorded live last week at the award show in Frisco, TX, the surprise duet features Stapleton and Dua Lipa alongside Stapleton’s band, The Honchos, as well as a 13-piece string section. Blake Shelton Kicks Off Vegas Ole Red Opening

The 6th and largest location of Ole Red—the Blake Shelton-inspired bar, restaurant, and music venue—is now open in none other than Las Vegas, after kicking off with a private concert from Shelton himself.

“I know Las Vegas has been a big destination for cowboys, but not until tonight has there been a destination for absolute hillbillies, and now we got it,” Shelton shared on stage.

Shelton was joined by special guest (and wifey) Gwen Stefani, and performed a second night, continuing the opening weekend events.

Ole Red is owned and operated by Opry Entertainment Group. The Vegas location totes 27,000 square feet to include 686 seats and a 4,500 square-foot rooftop overlooking the Las Vegas cityscape.

Post Malone & Morgan Wallen Collaborate on “I Had Some Help”

On the heels of Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s landmark sets at Stagecoach Festival 2024, the duo released their highly anticipated single, “I Had Some Help.”

The single will be featured on Malone’s first country album, slated for release later this year. The singer, at his first-ever Stagecoach Festival appearance, played a full set of country covers featuring special guests Brad Paisley, Sara Evans, and Dwight Yoakum. Malone then joined Wallen on stage to debut their single live.

George Birge Dropped 7-Track EP

“Cowboy Songs,” the seven-track EP from Nashville artist/songwriter George Birge is out now.

“This is about as proud as I’ve ever been for a project,” Birge explains. “I feel like it grows me up a little bit and it has been my chance to put my flag in the ground to tell my story.”

Birge co-wrote five of the seven on the EP, including the new single, “Cowboy Songs.” Throughout, he showcases his distinct Texas vocal and knack for lyrical lounging.

“I think I’m most excited for listeners to feel like they know me a little better after they listen to this,” Birge said. “I can’t wait to see what everybody thinks of it and how they put it into their own lives.”

“I Broke Down and Did Another Record” George Strait Announces to Indy Crowd

Marking his 31st studio recording, George Strait announced the upcoming “Cowboys and Dreamers,” to an Indy crowd. The album is slated to release on September 6, 2024.

“We got some new stuff, too, I’m gonna throw in throughout the night, because I broke down and did another record, and I’m gonna play a few of those for you tonight,” Strait shared to a sold-out crowd of over 50,000 at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Indianapolis show was Strait’s 10-stop tour that will include Florida, Chicago, and Vegas, among other stops. It also marked his first show back after the loss of his longtime manager, Erv Woolsey, band member Gene Elders, and tour manager Tom Foot.

“The last couple of months have been a tough time… music makes it all better. Thank you for coming out – we’ve had a great time tonight. This one is for Erv, and Gene, and Tom,” said Strait, before concluding with a six-song encore.

Warner Music Nashville Riser Chase Matthew Releases “First”

Chase Matthew, Warner Music Nashville riser, released his first single since his February EP release. “First,” co-written by Matthew, Jacob Rice, Ben Hayslip, and David Lee Murphy, captures pulse-pounding emotion coupled with Matthew’s signature vocals. The single follows this “tough-skinned country boy” coming to terms with unforgettable firsts.

Following its release, Matthew took the stage at the 2024 iHeartCountry Festival early in May, then played the “Opry NextStage Live from Texas” show in mid-May. You can catch him supporting Jason Aldean on his “Highway Desperado Tour,” and Luke Bryan’s “Mind of a Country Boy Tour.”

Shane Profitt Released “Whiskey With You”

Following the release of “Two Down,” in February, Shane Profitt is back at it with “Whiskey With You.” This windows-down, anthem-type single shifts from his previous, sweet love song release, and further expands Profitts’ discography.

The single is one in a string released by Profitt over the past few months, including “Good Luck And God,” “I Am Who I Am,” and “Two Down.”

Profitt was also recently announced as Hevi-Shot’s newest brand ambassador.

“Shane has been a huge fan of our ammo and a dedicated social follower of our social media posts for quite some time now,” said HEVI-Shot Marketing Manager Tina Larsen. “This collaboration will be heavy on social media efforts. Darryl Worley Releases “Tractor Time” Featuring Chris Janson and Justin Moore

Last in our update of country music news is Mr. Darryl Worley. In his latest tune that pays homage to a country living past time, Darryl Worley rallied Chris Janson and Justin Moore for “Tractor Time.”

“My new song, ‘Tractor Time,’ drops today and I think it’s the perfect summer anthem,” explains Worley. “I’m so grateful to have Justin Moore and Chris Janson on this tune with me. It’s a fun little number with a big fat groove and a contagious melody. Turn up the dial and get yourself a little dose of redneck therapy.”
